Francesca Aquaro has more than 25 years of working experience and in the past twenty years she worked in various roles in the European Commission where she developed a solid knowledge of the working and programming methods in the external relations area of the EU.   
Francesca has solid experience in contractual and financial management, in reviewing technical assistance and grants proposals as well as in monitoring and assessing the implementation of projects and the achievement of established objectives.  
She has solid experience in addressing public administration reform (PAR) issues and in delivering capacity building support to the public sector. Francesca  has excellent communication, drafting and reporting skills, practiced in preparing programming and projects’ documents, in reporting on programmes implementation and policy developments and in preparing briefings.
Francesca is used to relate and communicate in multicultural environments and is well versed in teams’ management, coordination and partnerships building, developing and delivering on the job mentoring and bespoke trainings.
Prior to her last role as Team Leader for Twinning in DG NEAR, she served in the EU Delegations to Jordan, to Albania, to Vietnam, and in the Commission HQ as procurement officer, as programme manager and in the coordination of the programming of assistance for the Democratic Republic of Congo.
