Bruno de Carvalho is a Junior Project and Communications Officer at ECES. He holds a bachelor ́s degree in Political Science and International Relations that he acquired at the Catholic University of Portugal in Lisbon. Additionally, he obtained his master’s degree in the field of European Studies: Global Policy and Governance Challenges at Maastricht University in the Netherlands, where he graduated with a research thesis about the EU’s stand on the maritime politics of Southeast Asia.

Before joining ECES, he had the opportunity to be an intern at EuroDefense - Portugal, where he had the chance to learn from experts in areas related to international security and geopolitics. Moreover, after his first encounter with Brussels during his Erasmus programme at the Université Libre de Bruxelles, he now links all his previous professional and academic experiences to ECES and its mission. He is fluent in Portuguese and English and has a good level of French and Spanish.
