Anis Sammali is the Electoral Observation Expert of the Projetc. Anis is a member of the head office of Mourakiboun, the Tunisian domestic election observation network that monitored all post-revolution elections in the country.

 

Anis also served as project manager for the first successful Parallel Vote Tabulation in North Africa during the 2014 presidential and parliamentary elections in Tunisia. He  provided technical support to national observation groups for the implementation of the first successful Parallel Vote Tabulation in Burkina Faso and Côte d’Ivoire. He developed and ran election observation trainings for civil society groups in Tunisia, Mauritania, Côte d’Ivoire, Morocco, Burkina Faso and Lebanon. 

 

Anis held the position of Team Leader in the Pre-Election Assessment Mission in Sudan in 2015, and was also member of the Pre-Election Experts Team in Gambia in 2016 with the African Union. In total, he participated to seven International Election Observation Missions namely in Egypt (2012), Libya (2012), Sierra Leone (2012), Jordan (2013) and Kuwait (2013) with EISA, NDI and the Carter Center.
