ECES organised a Leadership and Conflict Management Training (LEAD) training in Bukavu (South-Kivu) in DRC between September 9 and 13, 2013. The majority of the participants were from the SADC-ESN member organisations. However, given the context in the Eastern DRC, where insecurity and clashes between national army and rebels’ groups are rather common, this work was carried out with much caution and hosted the local electoral commission representatives (Commission Electorale Provinciale Independante – CEPI), MONUSCO and media representatives.
