Dunia Ramazani, ECES’ senior electoral expert, is specialised in the implementation of information technology and communication in the electoral process and is currently the head of the PACTE-BF project. He uses technical and planning methodologies, implementation, monitoring and control (including audit) that are based on the concept of the electoral cycle. Active in several countries, he participated in the introduction of information technology in many elections.

 


Dunia Ramazani holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Montreal. He has extensive experience in the field of advanced technology development. He has taught at various universities in North America. He was a visiting scholar at FORWISS (Germany) before joining the private sector, where he led the hardware and software engineering department of Siemens Canada. He then worked in the public sector in the Democratic Republic of Congo and managed the National Treatment Centre of the Independent Electoral Commission from 2005 to 2007. He then worked for various international organisations such as the United Nations, the European Commission, USAID and IFES.
