ECES is proud to take part in the initiatives of EURES, the European cooperation network of employment services. In 2020 ECES signed a convention with Your First EURES Job (YfEj), a European project aimed at boosting professional mobility and job matching on a transnational level, thus promoting the European Single Market among employers and young workers.

Targeting young nationals aged 18-35 from the EU28 countries + Iceland and Norway, YfEj aims at:

  • developing innovative projects for the promotion of professional mobility;
  • supporting young people to find a job, traineeships and apprenticeships in another EU Member State;
  • promoting a circular, voluntary and quality mobility of workers and the construction of a European citizenship.

As stated by Fabio Bargiacchi, Executive Director and Co-founder of ECES:

‘We are very grateful to EURES. I recommend it to all organizations and companies that would like to get very motivated and prepared young professionals. I am also very grateful to Regione Puglia and Bernadette Greco for supporting professional mobility and young professionals and I am super happy that young people are receiving what I have received in the past’.

Thanks to YfEj, Alessio Beltrami, Iohanna Weiss and Valeria Mattiacci have benefited from firsthand training and adaptation to the world of work, before becoming full members of the ECES family as Junior Project Officers.

‘I take part in EURES because it is a fantastic opportunity to live and work abroad, to meet new people, discover another culture and learn another language. It is an extremely important experience to improve yourself’

Alessio Beltrami

I’m getting first-hand experience of quality assurance processes and participating in the activities of the new and important INNOV-ELECTIONS project that delivers electoral and democracy support under Covid-19’

Iohanna Weiss

'This program has helped me in many ways, not only financially, through allowances, but also in terms of training, allowing me to take French courses here in Brussels. As Junior Project Officer here in ECES I am gaining strong professional experience in project management, assisting my Senior colleagues through many tasks. I’m very grateful to ECES and the EURES program for this unique opportunity’

Valeria Mattiacci
