Moroni, 24–26 June 2025. ECES, through the EU-funded Shawiri project, organised a leadership and mentoring training seminar for women leaders in politics, civil society and their communities.
After a day devoted to the fundamentals of leadership, conflict management and advocacy techniques, they were accompanied by mentoring experts to design their individual, organisational or political projects.
Chair of the ECES Strategic Committee, former Belgian Minister and Member of Parliament, Joëlle Milquet shared her rich experience as a woman leader. Ambassador Fatoumia Ali Bazi, President of the Comorian Chapter of the African Women Leaders Network and initiator of the main women's platforms in the Indian Ocean, is responsible for supporting women in their projects related to their organisations.
Farida Djalim, who has extensive experience in supporting young entrepreneurs, is responsible for supporting women in their individual social projects. The activity will be followed by personalised support for all participants so that they can bring their projects to fruition and, in turn, support other women in the process of developing their own projects.
