
Cochabamba, October 22–23, 2025 – The Second Meeting of Elected Women Assembly Members was held at the Camino Plaza Hotel in Cochabamba, bringing together women leaders from across Bolivia and abroad to strengthen collective action and their role in legislative management.
Designed as a political and capacity-building space, the meeting combined political reflection, dialogue, practical workshops, negotiation exercises, and roundtable discussions. It aimed to promote collaboration, visibility, and leadership among women in decision-making.

The programme included:
- An overview of legislative responsibilities and strategies for gender parity in parliamentary structures.
- Dialogue between national and international Assembly members to exchange experiences and best practices.
- Negotiation and consensus-building sessions encouraging joint proposal development.
- Analysis of harassment and political violence, including cyber violence and measures for prevention and response.
- Integration of technological innovations, such as Artificial Intelligence, to modernize parliamentary work.
The event was organized by the Together We Make History Movement: Women’s Coordinator and affiliates, Articulation of Social and Mixed Organizations, Alliance for Solidarity – Aid Action, Ciberwarmis, Community of Rights, and the Construir Foundation.
It was held in partnership with the European Electoral Support Centre (ECES), Oxfam, Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES), UNFPA, GIZ, UN Women, UNICEF, UNDP, and the Swiss Embassy in Bolivia, with funding from UNDEF, AECID, the European Union, UNDP, FES, and Equality Now.
The European Centre for Electoral Support (ECES) was represented by Monica Frassoni, President of ECES, highlighting the organization’s continued commitment to gender equality and inclusive governance.
