The electoral technical assistance project in support to the electoral commission of Bénin aims to contribute to the consolidation of democracy in Benin by strengthening the capacities of the Autonomous National Electoral Commission (CENA) to organize and conduct of presidential elections in 2016.
The specific objectives of the project are:
- to strengthen the capacity of the CENA in regards to institutional communication and voter education and
- to contribute to the professionalisation of the electoral administration in strategic planning of elections, including the operational and communication aspects.
To achieve these objectives, ECES will provide three permanent experts and several short-term experts to the CENA. The project activities addressed CENA's needs and will begin in mid-January 2016 for three months.The core team of the project will be constituted by 3 key experts: a Senior electoral expert who will be the Team Leader, an institutional communication expert and a Media monitoring expert.
