As part of its ongoing commitment to promoting democratic governance and reinforcing the institutions of the Republic, the Parliamentary and Electoral Process Support Project (PAPPE) has officially handed over a set of IT equipment to the National Human Rights Commission (CNDH).
This initiative is implemented within the framework of PAPPE, a project led by the European Centre for Electoral Support (ECES) with the financial support of the European Union. The handover ceremony marks a significant milestone in PAPPE’s institutional support strategy, particularly aimed at strengthening the capacities of the CNDH and its provincial branches.
Supporting Institutional Efficiency and Modernisation
The provision of IT equipment is designed to enhance the daily operations of the CNDH by modernising its working tools and improving its technical infrastructure. With access to updated digital resources, the Commission will be better equipped to carry out its constitutional mandate of promoting and protecting human rights across the country.
Through this donation, PAPPE seeks to:
- Strengthen the operational capacities of the National Human Rights Commission;
- Modernise working tools to improve efficiency and responsiveness;
- Enhance the collection, processing, and dissemination of human rights information;
- Increase the visibility and effectiveness of the CNDH at both national and provincial levels.
A Commitment to Human Rights and Democratic Governance
By supporting the CNDH with essential IT equipment, PAPPE reaffirms its commitment to the protection of human rights, the consolidation of the rule of law, and the strengthening of democratic institutions. Well-equipped institutions are better positioned to monitor, document, and respond to human rights challenges, as well as to engage citizens and stakeholders effectively.
Investing in the capacity of the CNDH is therefore an investment in human dignity, institutional accountability, and the building of a resilient and inclusive democracy. PAPPE remains dedicated to working alongside national institutions to ensure sustainable democratic progress and respect for fundamental rights throughout the country.
