On June 24th, the ECES PRO-Election Bolivia project, funded by the EU, held a workshop on social media monitoring and the use of the social media tracking tool SentiOne. Members of the monitoring units of Construir Foundation, ARU Foundation, the Women's Coordinator, and the Supreme Electoral Tribunal (TSE), all target groups of ECES technical assistance on traditional and social media monitoring, participated in the session. After the tutorial on using the SentiOne social media tracking tool and exploring all its features, ECES media and social media expert Javier Gutiérrez trained participants on the social media monitoring methodology and how to detect instances of disinformation and hate speech on social media. This capacity-building activity is designed to analyse and prevent electoral conflict triggers throughout the Bolivian electoral cycle by promoting electoral integrity led by key national stakeholders.
