On 26 and 27 June 2025, a workshop on drafting and revising the statutory texts for the coordination of the Civil Society Organisations Platform was held in N'Djamena. The meeting brought together members of the various platforms with a shared desire to strengthen their internal structure and improve their strategic coordination.

Organised within the framework of the Parliamentary and Electoral Process Support Project (PAPPE), funded by the European Union and implemented by the European Centre for Electoral Support (ECES), this workshop is part of a broader effort to consolidate democratic governance in Chad. It aims to support civil society organisations so that they can fully play their role as actors committed to democratic development.

Discussions focused on three key points:

  • The establishment of a coordination framework common to all components of the Platform;
  • The drafting and validation of a reference document (convention, agreement or statutes);
  • The drafting and adoption of internal rules of procedure.

Beyond harmonising texts, this initiative also aims to strengthen the capacities of CSOs in the areas of citizen monitoring, advocacy, community mobilisation and conflict prevention. Women's participation was notable: 5 women out of 15 participants, representing 33% of the total.
