A training course on the management of appeals and reports on provincial and municipal election disputes was held on 22 and 23 May 2025 at the Hotel de l'Amitié in N'Djamena for clerks and secretaries of the Supreme Court.

Organised as part of the Parliament and Electoral Process Support Project (PAPPE), funded by the European Union and implemented by the European Centre for Electoral Support (ECES), this initiative is part of a drive to strengthen democratic governance in Chad by supporting institutions working to guarantee fundamental freedoms in the public sphere.

This session aims to equip and strengthen the professional capacities of court clerks and public prosecutors so that they are able to perform their duties on electoral matters in the best possible conditions.

At the end of this training, 26 court clerks and public prosecutors will be better prepared to meet the challenges of compiling and recording the results of local elections. They will have a thorough understanding of their essential role in the administration of justice before, during and after elections, while strengthening their ability to interpret electoral texts and laws in Chad. These participants will share a clear vision of their responsibility as key actors in the judicial system.
