From 2 to 5 December 2025, N’Djamena will host a strategic training programme in leadership and conflict management for members of the National Electoral Management Agency (ANGE). Supported by the Support Project to Parliament and Electoral Processes (PAPPE) and funded by the European Union, this initiative aims to strengthen the essential skills required to conduct transparent, inclusive and harmonious elections.

Constitutionalised on 29 December 2023, ANGE now occupies a central place in Chad’s electoral architecture. Following the organisation of the 2024 elections, strengthening institutional leadership and enhancing electoral management capacities have become key areas of support for the democratic process.

Over four days of work sessions, participants will be trained in the LEAD methodology (Leadership and Conflict Management Skills for Electoral Actors). This approach will provide them with practical and analytical tools to enhance the understanding and management of electoral dynamics. The sessions will cover, among other topics:

  • the electoral cycle and its key stages
  • decision-making strategies and change management
  • emotional intelligence and constructive communication
  • mediation and the prevention of sensitive situations

Thirty (30) staff members, selected from among ANGE’s senior officials and technical directors, will take part in this training. At the end of the workshop, they will have strengthened their capacities to support the electoral process, build trust among stakeholders, and contribute to a democratic approach aligned with international standards.
