Strengthening CSO capacities: towards a structured Multi-Year Strategic Plan
A training course on the development of a Multi-Year Strategic Plan, aimed at the Civil Society Organisations (CSO) Platform, was held from 9 to 11 July 2025 at Eden Park in Koundoul.
This initiative, organised as part of the Parliament and Electoral Process Support Project (PAPPE), is funded by the European Union and implemented by the European Centre for Electoral Support (ECES). It is part of a process to strengthen democratic governance in Chad by supporting institutions and civil society organisations committed to guaranteeing fundamental freedoms in the public sphere.
The objectives of this training workshop were to:
- Develop a multi-year strategic action plan for the CSO Platform;
- Strengthen the capacities of Platform members in the field of strategic planning;
- Provide the Platform with a reference document to guide its future actions.
Sixteen (16) participants, including six women (37.5%), had the opportunity to benefit from this training.
During the three days of work, participants explored the different stages of strategic planning through theoretical sessions, practical group work and interactive exchanges. These activities helped to consolidate knowledge and produce concrete results, in line with the objectives set.
