A training course on the litigation of provincial and municipal elections will be held from 19 to 21 May 2025 at the Hôtel de l'Amitié in N'Djamena, for members of the Supreme Court.

Organised as part of the Parliament and Electoral Process Support Project (PAPPE), funded by the European Union and implemented by the European Centre for Electoral Support (ECES), this initiative is part of a drive to strengthen democratic governance in Chad by supporting institutions working to guarantee fundamental freedoms in the public sphere.

This session aims to strengthen the capacity of magistrates to rigorously justify their decisions, ensure optimal management of appeals and achieve a proclamation of results that inspires confidence and is accepted by all stakeholders.

By the end of the course, the 47 participants will have developed a common understanding and a clear vision of their role as electoral judges. They will also have strengthened their analytical and decision-making skills needed to deal effectively with contentious disputes at local level.

Finally, they will have access to a network of electoral professionals and experts committed to promoting democracy and the rule of law in Chad.
