As part of its efforts to strengthen post-transition governance, the Parliamentary and Electoral Process Support Project (PAPPE), funded by the European Union and implemented by the European Center for Electoral Support (ECES), is organizing a two-day training course on public speaking and advocacy techniques. From August 1 to 2, 2025, this skills-building session will take place at the Hotel de l'Amitié and is aimed at members of several civil society organizations (CSOs).
This training responds to a priority need identified by the project's partner organizations. It aims to strengthen CSO members' skills in public communication and advocacy, enabling them to effectively defend their causes and amplify their impact in the public sphere.
Participants will be trained on key topics such as public speaking, media relations, press release writing, and advocacy techniques. The methodological approach, which combines theoretical input, interactive exchanges, and practical exercises, will enable participants to acquire concrete skills to better structure their ideas, interact with different audiences, and design effective influence strategies.
The workshop brings together 21 members of the CSO Consultation Framework, including 11 women, representing 53% female participation. Improving their communication and advocacy skills will contribute to the sustainable consolidation of democracy and a more active, independent, and influential civil society in Chad.
