From September 23 to 26, 2025, a training course in Leadership and Conflict Management (LEAD) was held in N'Djamena for members of the National Coalition of Moral Authorities for Mediation (CONAMM).

This coalition brings together religious, traditional, and community leaders who play a key role in mediation and peacebuilding in Chad.

Organized as part of the Parliamentary and Electoral Process Support Project (PAPPE), funded by the European Union and implemented by the European Centre for Electoral Support (ECES), this initiative aims to strengthen the capacity of local actors to support electoral processes in a climate of calm.

Over four days, a total of 34 participants, including 9 women representing 26% of female participation, had been benefiting from practical training on:

  • leadership and self-confidence;
  • management and prevention of electoral conflicts;
  • non-violent communication;
  • mediation and dialogue strategies.

Through this training, leaders will be better equipped to ease tensions, raise awareness in communities, and promote inclusive and peaceful elections.
