As part of the PARD-GUINEA Project, funded by the European Union, whose overall objective is to support the ongoing transition process in the Republic of Guinea, a training course for internal auditors was organised from 10 to 17 July 2025 for a team of 20 people from the General Secretariat of the Government (SGG), which is in the process of obtaining ISO 9001 certification.

The objective of this training session, entitled "ISO 19011:2018 – Training of Internal Auditors for the Quality Management System", is to strengthen the skills of SGG staff in the evaluation and continuous improvement of processes. Participants will be equipped to conduct effective internal audits, identify non-conformities and propose corrections and corrective actions, thereby contributing to the sustainability of an efficient, transparent and results-oriented administration.

The opening and closing ceremonies were led by the Minister himself, Mr Tamba Benoit KAMANO, who affirmed the determination of the secretariat and its employees to achieve certification and make the Quality Management System (QMS) a process of continuous improvement within the SGG. He also thanked ECES for its technical assistance and the European Union for its financial support.

The training was provided by ECES experts Mr Jose Enrique ROMAN and Sylvestre SOMO.

The trained and certified team will begin the internal audit of the SGG on 22 July 2025 for two days.
