ECES is proud to announce the renewal of the ERMES project - European Resource for Mediation Support III (ERMES III) for another 3 years! With the extension, the amount of the project has increased to 7 million euros. The project is funded by the European Union and is implemented under the supervision of the Service for Foreign Policy Instruments (FPI), in close consultation with the European External Action Service’s Mediation Support Team.

ECES together with a consortium of specialised not-for-profit and international organisations and institutes (Interpeace, Mediateur, Foundation Hirondelle and the Institute of Research and Education on Negotiation - ESSEC), under the leadership of College of Europe, is implementing ERMES III on behalf of the EU.

ECES is providing the key expertise for the project (two Key Experts and numerous Non Key Experts), that is a strategic tool for the EU role in mediation and dialogue, and the office set in the premises of ECES – located in 222 Avenue Louise, 1050 Bruxelles.

The project goal is to provide experts in the context of changing timelines and under short notice, proving its great level of flexibility and responsiveness. With this action the EU aims at facilitating its support to third parties engaged in peace mediation and dialogue processes at the international, regional or local levels, by inter alia providing technical assistance and training, and organising meetings and seminars.
