As part of the Support Project to the Parliament and Electoral Processes (PAPPE), funded by the European Union and implemented by the European Centre for Electoral Support (ECES), PAPPE is organizing, on behalf of the High Authority for Media and Audiovisual (HAMA), a special training session in Moundou from 10 to 14 November 2025.

This training aims to strengthen the technical skills of professionals from community and associative radios, focusing on the mastery of digital tools and the adaptation to technological developments within the broadcasting sector.

In a context where media play a vital role in democratic governance and social cohesion, this initiative provides concrete support to local actors in meeting digital challenges and enhancing their contribution to the dissemination of reliable, high-quality information.

Participants will benefit from capacity building focused on:

  • Mastering audio equipment and editing software (Adobe Audition, mixing, post-production),
  • Understanding radio and network fundamentals, as well as sound recording and broadcasting techniques,
  • Maintenance and troubleshooting of technical installations,
  • And adopting good practices in energy management and sustainability.

More than 50 technicians from local radio stations will take part in this training, supervised by HAMA experts.

By joining forces, PAPPE, HAMA, ECES, and the European Union reaffirm their shared commitment to promoting a modern, responsible, and inclusive journalism, serving local development and freedom of expression.
