On Saturday, 14 June, ECES signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Tribunal Supremo Electoral (TSE), Bolivia’s Electoral Management Body (EMB) responsible for overseeing the upcoming General Elections scheduled for 17 August 2025. The signing ceremony took place at the Órgano Electoral Plurinacional (OEP) offices in La Paz, bringing together key electoral stakeholders committed to enhancing the integrity of the electoral process.

The MoU was signed by ECES Founder and Executive Director, Fabio Bargiacchi, and TSE President, Oscar Abel Hassenteufel Salazar, in the presence of Luis Castellar, Project Coordinator of Pro-Election Bolivia, and several vocales of the TSE. The event underscored the shared commitment to collaboration in advancing a peaceful, transparent, and credible electoral process.

In his remarks, Fabio Bargiacchi emphasized the Pro-Election Bolivia project’s mission to prevent electoral conflict and support key stakeholders engaged throughout the electoral cycle. “We support initiatives led by strategic electoral actors, and you hold the primary role as captains of the electoral ship,” he stated, highlighting the importance of the TSE’s leadership in steering Bolivia’s democratic course.

This strategic partnership forms part of the broader Pro-Election Bolivia project, funded by the European Union and implemented by ECES. By reinforcing cooperation with Bolivia’s highest electoral authority, the project reaffirms its dedication to supporting inclusive and conflict-free elections in 2025 and beyond.
