
The Constitutional Council of Chad has received a significant donation of IT, energy and communications equipmentas part of the Parliamentary and Electoral Process Support Project (PAPPE), funded by the European Union and implemented by European Centre for Electoral Centre (ECES).
The official handover ceremony was attended by the President of the Constitutional Council, Mr Jean-Bernard Padaré, constitutional judges, as well as project representatives and technical partners.
This donation is part of an overall process of institutional strengthening and administrative modernisation, which has been underway since the launch of PAPPE. It consolidates a coherent set of actions already implemented for the benefit of the Constitutional Council, aimed at sustainably strengthening its technical, organisational and strategiccapacities.
The equipment donated is intended to support the operationalisation of the tools, systems and skills developed, which is essential for the effectiveness and sustainability of institutional action. The donation includes:
- Latest generation computers,
- Multifunction printers,
- Professional scanners,
- Server and network equipment, as well as a
- Solar energy system ensuring autonomy and continuity of services,
- A satellite communication system also ensures reliable and permanent connectivity.
Thanks to this support, the Constitutional Council now has a modern, secure infrastructure that is adapted to current requirements for management, archiving, communication and information processing, thereby strengthening its capacity to fully assume its role in guaranteeing constitutional legality and the credibility of electoral processes.
The PAPPE reaffirms its commitment to continuing its support for Chadian institutions, with a view to consolidating sustainable capacities, contributing to more effective and transparent governance in line with democratic principles.
