On 28 and 29 August 2025, the Parliamentary and Electoral Process Support Project (PAPPE), funded by the European Union and implemented by ECES, is organising a capacity building workshop in N'Djamena for judges, assistants and clerks of the Constitutional Council.

Objective: To contribute to the enrichment of the Chadian Electoral Code and provide key actors with practical tools for better management of electoral disputes.

Over two days, 58 participants will analyse disputes from 2021-2024, identify the challenges encountered and formulate recommendations to ensure more credible, inclusive and transparent elections.

This workshop is part of the PAPPE strategy, which is structured around four areas: institutional development, capacity building, visibility and coordination.

Through this process, the European Union reaffirms its commitment to a democratic Chad with strong institutions that guarantee the rule of law.
