Opening of PACTE-Guinea II Office

The Programme In Support of Credibility and Transparency of Elections in Guinea Conakry (PACTE-Guinea II), funded by the European Union (EU) and implemented by the European Centre for Electoral Support (ECES) in partnership with Cellule d'Appui Politologique- Afriques- Caraibes (CAPAC), Centre for Creative Leadership (CCL) and Urban Republic, celebrated the opening of the new working spaces on the 10th of March 2016.

The new office will host the project team, composed by: Dominique Weerts, Project Director and ECES Representative in Guinea; Philippe Galabert, Administrative and Finance Manager; Fabrice Masuka in charge of the awareness raising Campaign and Facilitation Techniques; Barry Tidiane in charge of the electoral process; Saidou Dioubaté in charge of civic education ; Francis Buhendwa Rushinga in charge of the relationships with institutions; Dansoko Elhadj Sanoussy in charge of the relationships with partners; Lucky Mendy, Radio Broadcasting expert; Joel Emerson Nkonko Ilunga, ICT officer; Aguibou Bah, Administrative and Accountancy Assistant; Assiatou Diallo, Receptionist; Mohamed Lamine Sano, Logistic Officer; Fatoumata Diarra in charge of the office maintenance and Mr. Diallo and  Mr. Koma, project’s drivers.

Vera Lourenço, ECES Senior Programmes Advisor and Martina Garbuglia, ECES Programmes Advisor also joined the event to celebrate the office opening and meet project team, project partners and beneficiaries.

Office opening has been the occasion to tight the relationship among PACTE-Guinea II tem, project partners and beneficiaries and present the next steps forward in regards to the implementation of the project. 
Financial and technical partners’ representatives, representatives of the EU Delegation, implementing partners and colleagues were present at the event. 

A number of distinguished guests, such as: HE Gerardus Gielen, Ambassador of the EU to the Republic of Guinea;  HE Francisco de Asis Benitez Salas, Ambassador of Spain to the Republic of Guinea; HE Kwasi Agyeman Agyare, Ambassador of Ghana to the Republic of Guinea; Fode Oussou Fofana, Member of the National Assembly; Mohamed Berete Secretary General of the National Assembly; Filan Traore, Special Advisor of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Decentralisation; Etienne Soropogui, Commissioner of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC); Rabiatou Bangoura, National Democtatic Institute (NDI) Programme Manager; M’Ballou Keita, President of the Court of First Instance of Conakry (Dixinn), joined the celebrations.
