On November 13-14, in Kigali, Rwanda, ECES participated at the official launch of the “Women’s Forum” of the Francophone network of electoral management bodies (RECEF - Réseau des compétences électorales francophones).

The seminar gathered high-level representatives of electoral management bodies from all over the African continent to reflect on the mission, objectives and activities of the forum with the aim to promote women participation and inclusion at all stages of the electoral cycle as well as within the electoral management bodies.

ECES has been represented by its director of programmes, Eva Palmans, to share experiences and good practices from the different projects ECES is implementing around the world. Promoting and encouraging women's participation in political and electoral processes as well as the fight against gender-based violence are among ECES’ key objectives.
