Founded in 1949, FAIB offers expert advices, a network of associations as well as its library of previous researches, studies and socio-economic surveys to its members. The goal of the association is to connect its members, assist them with regards to a various range of issues, such as legal and fiscal matters and keep the members updated regarding all the new policy, legal and financial developments that may have an impact on them.

In the past, the FAIB has worked closely with Belgian authorities, Government services and Parliament leading to the formulation of the actual legislation on not-for-profit associations, international not-for-profit associations and foundations. Consequently, FAIB is a leading authority in representing, assisting and counseling international associations.
