We are proud to announce our new project in the Republic of Guinea, named "Support Programme for Political Transition in the Republic of Guinea" (PARD-Guinea) that is kindly funded by the European Union.
Based on our previous experience in the country, where we implemented projects between 2013 and 2017 and where our experts in the last year implemented a technical assistance project funded
by the EU and for which we were subcontracted by NIRAS, we will implement PRAD–Guinea for the upcoming 2 years. The project is funded by the European Union’ Neighbourhood, Development, and International Cooperation Instrument (NDICI) and it will have as its overall objective to strengthen democracy and promote inclusive democratic processes in Guinea during the transition period.
The action will target the National Transitional Council (NTC), the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Decentralisation (MATD), the High Authority for Communications (HAC), the General Secretariat of the Government (SGG), the Supreme Court, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, public and private media, civil society and political parties.
The project will be implemented via a series of specific activities to support the targeted institutions in their technical needs.
We will implement this project together with our partners Urban Republic, Democracy Essential, the Imagine esg Foundation, EarthEcho Communications as well as the Université de Liège, and the Université de Cotonou. Furthermore, we will work with local NGOs and umbrella organisations of the Structured Dialogue Framework (SDF) created by the EU in 2022.
We are happy to contribute and be a part of this particularly important moment for Guinea. We are confident that, through our approach, we will contribute to the development of democracy and stability in Guinea. We are preparing the deployment of our Project Coordination Unit in Conakry that will support ECES HQ to implement the activities liaising with the partners, beneficiaries and EU Delegation on site.
To this effect, we have already shared a Human Resource Plan with the EU Delegation with experts mainly coming from our roster of experts and if needed we will publish soon on our website and social networks the positions that might need to be filled in.
