Strategy for the prevention of electoral conflicts, the mobilisation of youth and the role of the media in the electoral process - LEAD.
This was the theme of the last training organised by ECES in Dakar on November 25, 26, 27.
This training, set up together with the Directorate General of Election - #DGE, created a framework for discussion between professional journalists, members of #Synpics and future journalists, currently students at several Journalism and Communication schools in Dakar.
The Synpics, Syndicate of Information and Communication Professionals of Senegal brings together Senegalese journalists, photographers, cameramen and technicians. The schools represented in the training are the Higher Institute of Information and Communication Sciences - #ISSIC, the Center for Studies in Information Science and Technology - #CESTI and The Higher School of Journalism of the internet and communication - #EJICOM.
Discussions revolved around media activities throughout all stages of the electoral cycle, access to information, stress management by journalists and their role in preventing electoral conflicts.
