A Leadership and Conflict Management (LEAD) workshop is currently being held in Dire Dawa in Ethiopia, from 7 to 9 August 2019.
This LEAD training is being provided in the framework of the PEV-Ethiopia project, with a duration of 18 months and fully funded by the European Union. The European Centre for Electoral Support implements the PEV Ethiopia in partnership with GoInnovation and Forum of Federations. The action will seek to establish a coalition of like-minded non-state actors in order to form a stronger voice in the political- and electoral process in Ethiopia.
The overall objective of the LEAD workshop is to look into ways in which representatives of electoral stakeholders (namely representatives of Electoral Management Bodies - EMBs), Non-Governmental Organisations, Political Parties, Academics and Practitioners can improve their leadership skills and take on board means for preventing and/or mitigating the escalation of electoral violence and conflict throughout the respective electoral cycle.
