This study, titled "Managing election related violence for the consolidation of democracy in Madagascar" was produced as part of the "Project to support the prevention and management of potential conflicts and elections related violence in Madagascar - PEV Madagascar".
The author, Dr Juvence F. Ramasy, is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Toamasina in Madagascar, with a specialisation in issues related to the state, the elites, the army, electoral processes, democratisation in Sub-Saharan African, most particularly in the Indian Ocean region. He is the author of a number of acadeimc articles and works as a consultant for several national and international organisations operating in the field of democratic, parliamentary governance, elections and security issues.
