In the context of the project “Promotion of Peace and Cohesion in Kenya by Preventing and Mitigating Electoral Conflicts” (Pro Peace Kenya), ECES is proud to announce the launch of a new website specifically dedicated to the implementation of the project activities.
Pro Peace Kenya has been financed by the European Union with €3.5million euro through the Instrument contributing to Stability and Peace (IcSP) and will be implemented by ECES in an 18 months time span.
The overall objective of “Pro-Peace Kenya” is to promote peace, cohesion and political dialogue and to prevent, mitigate and manage conflicts and political and election-related conflict and violence ahead of the new electoral cycle in Kenya. In particular, ECES will cooperate with the Kenyan National Cohesion and Integration Commission’s (NCIC) to implement the “Road Map for Peaceful Elections in Kenya” that is meant to address important gaps ahead of the general elections scheduled to take place on 09 August 2022.
The website contains the all the information related the background and the implementation of all the activities on the field, with updated information on the latest news. There are specific sections on dedicated to the methodology, the objectives, the activities, the organizational chart and the resources of the project.
