The Project in Support of the Credibility and Transparency of Elections in Burkina-Faso (Projet d’Appui à la Crédibilité et à la Transparence des Elections au Burkina Faso - PACTE-BF www.pacte-burkinafaso.eu) is founded by the European Union, the Kingdom of Denmark, the Federal Republic of Germany, the Republic of Austria, the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and the French Republic. PACTE-BF benefits from the additional contribution of Canada through the Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI).The duration of the project is 14 months.
The project, implemented by ECES, was designed to align to the different needs expressed by the Independent National Electoral Commission (CENI) and to support the CENI in the implementation of its mission and in the organization of Presidential and Legislative elections of 2015 and municipal elections in 2016.
To meet the needs identified by the CENI, several intervention components have been developed, each comprising one or more activities, that contribute to achieve the global objective of the project - contribution to the organization of credible, transparent and peaceful elections in Burkina Faso via a technical and operational support to the INEC and its branches.
