Within the context of the democratic package in Ethiopia (eu4democracy), the EU and German Cooperation funded project EURECS-Ethiopia has launched an introductory webinar on the online Master Programme in Electoral Policy and Administration (MEPA) for the National Board of Ethiopia’s (NEBE) enrolled staff members.
The introductory session, held on 27 July 2020, was facilitated by members of the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies (SSSA) and United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) to introduce the online learning platform.
MEPA was integrated into the EURECS project as a response to the new world circumstances of COVID-19. The Master aims at enhancing the electoral knowledge of NEBE’s enrolled staff members, providing them with comparative knowledge that can be deployed in their work and preparations for the upcoming elections.
This activity directly benefits 29 staff members of NEBE from the HQ and regional offices, where three of them are enrolled in the full master programme.
The webinar was attended by the Master enrolled staff members of NEBE, as well as ECES experts who will accompany and support the students in their learning journey.
